To ensure a smooth and hassle-free process, you must provide some essential documents, including your Civil ID or National card or Passport, Residence card.

These documents will verify your identity and ensure the new SIM card is activated correctly.

Fortunately, it's easy to check if your device supports eSIM.

  • For iPhone users, you can check if your device has an EID number by accessing “settings,” then “general,” and then “about.” Alternatively, you can check the device’s original box for an EID number.
  • For Samsung users, go to settings – connections – SIM manager and make sure if the eSIM option exists.
  • Here is a list of some of the most commonly used eSIM-compatible mobile devices available in the market: iPhone, Samsung,  Huawei,  Google, Other Devices.

1. Can I change my mobile and transfer the eSIM number to the new device?

You cannot use the same eSIM QR code on another device, you can change your eSIM with regular SIM.

 

2. How to get the eSIM QR code if it is lost?

You can visit our main centers in Baghdad, and you will be provided with a regular SIM.
 
3.  In case a “factory reset” is done to the device, will the settings of eSIM be cleared as well? 

There are several options for factory resetting. If the SIM settings are approved to be removed from your mobile, the SIM will be unlinked to the mobile, and you must scan the QR to add it again on the same mobile. If the SIM settings are kept, the factory reset does not affect the SIM.

4. Is it possible to use two eSIMs?
Several electronic SIMs can be added to the device, but only one eSIM and one regular SIM can be used simultaneously.

5. How many eSIMs can the subscriber use on their device?
The subscriber can store more than one eSIM on his device, and some devices support the use of more than one eSIM at the same time some devices support the use of one eSIM, but you can use only one at a time, and the subscriber can switch between them.

6. Do regular and roaming services work on the eSIM?

When purchasing a new eSIM chip, all current local or roaming services will operate at the same prices.

7. Does a dual SIM device support eSIM?

In general, any dual SIM device does not support eSIM technology. It is depending on your device specification, you can check your device compatibility form settings.
 

8. Does the eSIM chip work on the Apple Watch?
It does not work now, as mobile device manufacturers do not support this technology in Iraq.

9. Can I change my current regular sim to eSIM?
